In Brief

• Drinking red wine, nightly, for my health. It's a pleasant ritual that I've overlooked for too long. This probably makes me terribly gauche, (or, if I'm to believe their marketing copy, European) but I am finding Target's Wine cube to be surprisingly servicable for such a task.
• Martha Stewart now has a blog. Probable response of the masses: I wish I had her problems. Agree or Disagree? Discuss.
• Chapter 3 received warmly from chair, though of course some revisions were requested. He suggests I move forward, but what's available to my workstream is revision. We must agree to disagree.
  
• Craigslist may not be the best place to buy a computer, even if it is several bills cheaper than the offerings at reputable stores, and about 1/3 the weight of one's current setup. Trust.
• Trying out for Jeopardy tomorrow night (online), and playing Scrabulous of an evening. Games are fun, though I'm more competitive than I remembered.

Chapter 3

After being away from diss work for 6 1/2 weeks, then coming back and promptly getting sick for another week, I am slowly making my way back to daily work on my diss.

Today's issue is Chapter 3 - In the process of firming up some concepts, I realized that the original organization no longer makes sense, but I'm having trouble determining what the new order should be. [multiple possible permutations expunged] I know that this uncertainty and angst is all part of the process, but at times I simply cannot believe that my committee passed my proposal. And yet, they did.
