Smelt at School

You won't learn how to smelt gold here, but thanks for stopping by.

About Me

User: schoolsmelt
The smelting process (see above) is designed to remove impurities and capture the gold - it bears a striking similarity to writing a dissertation. Smelting's hotter, though.

An adapted meme from Dr. Crazy (via Profgrrrrl and Scrivener)

23:5
The Rules:
1. Go into your archive.
2. Find your 23rd post (or closest to).
3. Find the fifth sentence (or closest to).
4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions.

And the winner is.....

"When I stepped on the scale this morning, I discovered that I lost three pounds, since yesterday."

That's the only sentence of that blog post, which was written on the day after my first qualifying exam.  It's funny, because I'm again feeling the same sort of fatalism that I felt back then. I've finally hit the point where I know I'm going to do it--no more false starts, no more procrastination, no more screwing around. It's a good feeling.
