Smelt at School

You won't learn how to smelt gold here, but thanks for stopping by.

About Me

User: schoolsmelt
The smelting process (see above) is designed to remove impurities and capture the gold - it bears a striking similarity to writing a dissertation. Smelting's hotter, though.

Via Metaspencer, who's hit some bad luck with his hard drive (sorry, man), I discovered the following site which includes diagnostic sound-bites so you can tell whether or not your own hard drive is trashed. I don't want to hear them in real life, mind you, but I have to say I found a few of the sounds quite charming.

the remix contest, using just these sounds, was pretty funny -- check http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/announcements/hard-drive-dying-dance-track-winner-151666.php for instance. :)
