Smelt at School

You won't learn how to smelt gold here, but thanks for stopping by.

About Me

User: schoolsmelt
The smelting process (see above) is designed to remove impurities and capture the gold - it bears a striking similarity to writing a dissertation. Smelting's hotter, though.

wondering...

One of my students missed class tonight because of a back spasm. I'm in the exact same predicament, and as much as I'd like to do the same thing, I can't. Here's the question: Should I tell my students that I'm under the influence of pain pills?  (It's onlya double dose of Aleve, but I'm kind of a lightweight.)

I think you can always make a little joke about it at the beginning of class, that way you're covered if anyone notices you're off your game.

Skye is right. Make a quick joke at the start of class and then don't reference it again. You're covered!

Thanks you two! That's pretty much what I did (one laconic student's eyes popped open at the news, which was kind of funny), and it was for the best, since lecture was a bit, er, rambley...
