Smelt at School

You won't learn how to smelt gold here, but thanks for stopping by.

About Me

User: schoolsmelt
The smelting process (see above) is designed to remove impurities and capture the gold - it bears a striking similarity to writing a dissertation. Smelting's hotter, though.

dissertation commonality

No matter what your discipline, at at least one point in the process, everyone else's research will look: more relevant / easier / smarter / more exciting / more likely to lead to a job / just plain better  than your own.

They're thinking the same thing about your research. Not that that helps much.

You're right. It doesn't help. But good luck.
